The Process
This is where I feel like I help you the most! Being in front of the camera can be nerve-wracking and vulnerable for a lot of people and I totally relate to that, so I constantly put myself in your shoes, and give you support and direction so you start to feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera :)
What if we feel nervous & awkward in front of the camera?
No. But you should be down for an adventure and open to what that may bring...we’ll probably get a little sweaty but a lot of this depends on you and what you want! There are locations we can go to that are just off the road and a short walk, or more remote locations that require a longer hike! Depending on the location it’s possible you’re going to get some sand between your toes, a bit muddy, or a bit wet! All part of the adventure!
DO I HAVE TO HAVE PREVIOUS HIKING EXPERIENCE TO DO AN ADVENTURE SESSION OR WEDDING?
Yes! When you book with me, you not only get a photographer, you get a coordinator! I help my couples with EVERYTHING and take the stress of planning on your own off of your plate! I will send you my favorite vendors (florals, hair and make up, officiants), help you find a location that aligns with your vision, create a custom timeline for you, and so much more!
Can you help with planning?
Every event is unique but generally 40+ images per hour of coverage. I send you sneak peaks within a week & your full gallery of digital images within 8 weeks of your wedding day.
HOW MANY PHOTOS CAN WE EXPECT + HOW SOON WILL WE RECEIVE THEM?
We will make every effort to continue the shoot in the original location! I will check in to see how you would like to proceed. Hawaii has many small, different climate pockets so depending on which part of the island we are on, the rain may let up quickly, or may be light and consistent in which case we can continue. If the rain was heavy enough that it posed a safety issue or was not shootable we could try a different location or discuss rescheduling.
What if it rains?
While I specialize in elopements and branding, I do offer limited couples, family, and portrait sessions! The key thread throughout my work is storytelling and capturing a mix of candid and posed shots and this is the same approach I bring to my other sessions.
Couples Sessions: engagements, just because, surprise proposal, babymoon, honeymoon, etc.
Family sessions and Portrait Sessions: maternity, holiday sessions, just because!
